Dermaplaning in a nutshell is the manual exfoliation of the keratinised top layer of skin using a sterile single use surgical blade. Sounds scary, but I promise you it’s not, it’s a very relaxing facial. Dermaplaning takes away approximately 2-3 weeks’ worth of dead skin cells and the added bonus is it takes away the fine vellus hair too (peach fuzz). What is Cryotherapy?

Cryotherapy is the use of extreme cold produced by liquid nitrous oxide for the fast, effective and safe solution for the controlled destruction of unwanted skin imperfections.

The CryoPen™ is a FDA and CE registered advanced cryotherapy innovation. It is a pen-like instrument which delivers a fine pinpoint spray of liquid nitrous oxide at a constant temperature of minus-127 degrees under high pressure which allows the therapist to work with millimetre precision. This means the nitrous oxide is delivered directly to the treated area and not to the healthy surrounding tissue.

WHAT IS MICRO-NEEDLING

Micro needling is a process that helps skin regeneration and stimulates the production of collagen leading to optimum skin quality and health.

Using precision needles at a specific depth, these are motorised and pierced into the outer layers of the skin, creating micro holes. This allows the skin to change, a natural process speeds up skin cell renewal and enables the skin to produce plumpness, tightness and smoothness.

Micro needling is used in the medical industry to encourage blood flow, cell regeneration, tissue remodelling and hair follicle stimulus. 

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS

THE PROCESS IN TREATMENT

Each individual patient has brand new, sterile needle pack, which allows the needle depth to be adjusted and applied accordingly to each individual area identified for treatment. Using specific movements for maximum coverage. 

Do not be alarmed as redness is encouraged to be able to achieve full affect of the treatment. You will feel vibrations from the Skinpen rather than pain and the topical numbing cream is to reduce the sensation as much as possible for you..

AFTERCARE

It is extremely important that you follow the aftercare instruction given to you, after you have had this procedure, for safety and for your skins health and recovery. Absolutely nothing can be applied to skin for 24 hours and you will  be red (this has been described like a feeling of sunburn), tightness to treated area of skin and it may feel a bit sore.
